Big Green Coach partners with Festival Wood
1 full coach = 2 new trees planted. Simple.
In 2010, Big Green Coach supported 'Trees for Cities' and donated a tree for every full coach we took to festivals in 2010. Through this commitment, we planted a total of 307 trees in 2010! Thanks to these trees, 115 tons CO2 will be removed from the atmosphere over the trees lifespan. We want to do more!
For 2011, Big Green Coach has partnered with Festival Wood, an initiative from A Green Festival and will DOUBLE our commitment and plant TWO TREES for every full coach we take to a festival or gig in 2011. Festival Wood symbolises music fans' commitment to protecting the environment. The planned 5 acre wood will be planted on grazing land and will be a mix of native deciduous trees and we hope that the wood will be colonised by wild birds, mammals and insects as it grows.
With your help we aim to plant hundreds more trees across the UK during 2011.
