About Paul Heaton free NHS
Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott - A Free Concert for NHS Workers due to perform at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Tuesday 13 October 2020 has been rescheduled to Thursday 29 April 2021.
The artist statement says:
"It is with great frustration that we must once again announce the rescheduling of our UK & Ireland tour dates. We had hoped to be in a position to play these shows in the Autumn but, due to the ongoing situation with venue safety in the UK & Ireland, it's become clear that to do so would be putting our fans in danger. We're now moving the tour to April & May 2021 and all of your tickets will remain valid for these new dates. We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused by this but can't wait to see and perform for you all at the new dates."
Big Green Coach are contacting all our suppliers to rearrange the coaches to the new date to ensure that all the NHS workers we have offered free return coach travel for will continue to enjoy our service. Please bear with us whilst we organise all of this.
Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbot will play a free show for NHS staff working on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic.
The pair are giving away 9,000 tickets for the show in Nottingham on 13th October.
All NHS staff, including "doctors, nurses, support workers, porters and cleaners", will be welcome.
Hospital staff "can never be thanked enough", said Heaton in a statement.
"The coronavirus pandemic should remind everyone, and let no-one forget, that our National Health Service is the most brilliant and significant institution in our lives.
"We are just musicians, so there is little we can do but sing for you.
"From the porters, the cleaners and the drivers, to the doctors and the nurses; thank you."
