Big Green Coach nurtures music and events talent with BIMM Music Institute
Leading music industry organisations create job and internship opportunities
Birmingham-based Big Green Coach is proud to partner with fellow Digbeth organisation, BIMM Music Institute, to nurture music and events industry talent via recruitment and internship opportunities. BIMM Music Institute is part of BIMM University – a group of colleges that offers music, film, creative technologies and performing arts courses at degree and masters level.
As the UK’s largest and most sustainable live events travel company which this year celebrates its 15-year anniversary, Big Green Coach is well suited to collaborate with BIMM Music Institute, which opens doors to the music industry and for 40 years has been encouraging creative freedom and providing real-world industry experiences.
The partnership is off to a great start with full-time graduate employee Ryan Ridley joining the team as a Customer Service Agent and part-time social media intern Jack McGill.
Ryan joined Big Green Coach in February 2023 and has gone from strength to strength. Now, as a full-time Event Operations Assistant, he recently represented the company at Rise Festival in Les Deux Alpes in December.
Jack joined Big Green Coach in January 2024 to grow his events industry experience with the internship whilst in his final year studying BA (Hons) Music Marketing, Media and Communication at BIMM.

Danny Newby, who co-founded Big Green Coach with Kevin Green 15 years ago – which also has an events volunteer and staffing arm to the company added:

“We quite often need some help from enthusiastic people who want to work in the events industry, and BIMM students and graduates are a great fit. It could be an internship, volunteering for a few hours of work in return for a festival ticket, or paid work for a couple of days at a busy event – but we are passionate about nurturing talent with BIMM and also open applications via our website.”
With seven colleges based in culturally vibrant cities across the UK, Ireland and Germany, BIMM is Europe’s most connected music institute. With courses spanning the full spectrum of the music industry – from performance to business, production to event management, and songwriting to marketing – each college presents an ecosystem where students can realise ambitious projects within their discipline or in collaboration with others.
Going further in its green efforts, Big Green Coach’s work with Cool Earth means it has now sponsored close to 2m sq.ft. of Amazon rainforest for ten years. In 2022, all of its coach services were carbon neutral. Emissions for every return trip were worked out and then offset by investing in sustainability projects with Ecolibrium.
The carbon-neutral transport company has confirmed that 674.5 tonnes of carbon will be balanced for 2023 with UK charity Ecolibrium via a five-figure donation to Ecolibrium’s Trees+ programme. Since joining forces with Ecolibrium in 2021, Big Green Coach has balanced over 1500 tonnes of carbon.
